The Superintendent is responsible for coordinating and supervising the construction of multifamily, wood framed, garden style, senior living, duplex / quadplexes, cottages projects. This role is responsible for managing and overseeing the installation of the project work by directing co-workers and coordinating, and directing other trades on various sized projects including high profile contracts.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Reviews, monitors, and coordinates project contract documents, drawings, specifications, and submittals
- Responsible for directly managing the project construction and activities associated with the field operations
- Ensures the project to completion on schedule, within budget, and per the project specifications
- Ensures entire field and project team have a thorough understanding of project-specific contract documents (specifications, drawings, submittals, etc.)
- Lead and monitor daily and weekly coordination meetings to ensure requirements for the project are met
- Ensures entire field and project team have a clear understanding of all aspects of subcontractor trade work, including means and methods, services, equipment and vendor-supplied materials
Requirements:
- 8-10 years experience in multifamily construction
- Experience with wood frame, podium, stick build, masonry, and other various build types
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed construction blueprints, specifications, and detailed development drawings
- Basic technology skills, including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and plan grid programs.
- Must be able to maintain the flow of progress
- Willing to work the hours required to meet deadline. Saturday work days required.
- Possess the stamina to handle the workload and the drive to meet their project schedule and deadlines
Compensation:
- $115,000 - $150,000 depending on experience. Exact compensation may vary and has potential to increase depending on client.
