Construction Project Manager - Hotel & Hospitality Experience

A Florida based general contractor has an immediate opening for a Project Manager with hospitality experience to join their team. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The role will be based in St. Petersburg, Florida and provide supervision of high density hotel and hospitality projects from beginning to end. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides project updates and maintains communication between upper management, operations, project teams and clients
  • Ensures the project are completed on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget
  • Responsible for bidding, awarding, preparation, and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders are administered efficiently
  • Oversees, reviews, and ensures entire project team has an understanding project-specific contract documents 
  • Ensures the cost of the construction process remains within Client’s budget, including cost breakouts, cost estimating, pay requests, cost reporting, and change orders
  • Proficiently leverages and utilizes technology tools and solutions to ensure consistent and reliable results, gain efficiencies, and improve project team performance
  • Maintains relationships with subcontractors and vendors by setting direction and aligning resources
  • Leads, oversees, and manages the work of direct reports based upon project schedule, plans & specifications
  • Serves as the immediate point of contact to the client to proactively focus on meeting expectations and addressing concerns


Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience with high end, complex projects. Hotel and hospitality experience required
  • Degree in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or other related discipline
  • Extensive previous work experience managing budgets for construction projects
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of construction materials, equipment, and management process
Compensation:
  • Up to $150,000 base salary depending on abilities and experience. Exact compensation may vary and has potential to increase depending on client.
